I am getting desperate for some fresh eggs. Alas, the local farm where I got them last year (Osprey Hill Farm) isn't selling them yet this year. Where else can I get them from?

I emailed them last week. I know it's early for them to sell eggs just yet, as I hear that chickens don't lay as much in the winter. So I asked them when they expected to be selling eggs again. I haven't heard from them yet. They may be extremely busy getting the grounds and plants going.
Yesterday, I went to the house on Cain Lake Rd that's down the hill from Glenhaven. Sometimes they have an egg sign up. Egg's $1.50 But that's $1.50 for how many eggs? I don't know. Maybe 3? I left a note on their door, asking them to call me regarding the eggs. But I'm not sure when/if they'll notice the note because it looks like they don't use the front door much.
I should probably make a trip to the Bellingham Food Co-op and check their egg section. If I know what they have available to buy, then I'll know which ones to have moompix pick up when we need them. I'm just avoiding having to drive into town, heheh.

Woohoo! I may not need to buy eggs from town, heh. The egg seller from the bottom of the hill called me back. I've got a dozen eggs now. Guess what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow...

*clears throat* After driving to town today (had to go to the library and grocery shopping), I realized that the egg guy isn't at the bottom of the hill, but up at the top of it. Sorry for the error. It may take me a while, but I WILL figure out the local terrain.

I heard back from Osprey Hill Farm.
I'm saddened. Their eggs were so flavorful, and a nice variety. But I'm also surprised because I didn't realize that the laying hens relied so much on grain. I thought they were moving the hen paddock around a field, so the hens wouldn't cause too much damage, and so the field could regenerate food for the hens.
I hope they are ok. This quote reads like there may have been some major problems this winter/spring.

I'll send you a private message with his address.
(It's one thing for a person to put up their own address, but another thing for someone else to do it instead. When I see him again, I will ask him what he'd prefer. Though I had hoped he'd sign on here....but I may have talked too fast and scared him off, poor guy. I was nervous!!)
